TUNAIR™ polypropylene Erlenmeyer flask Kit, 2.5 Liters, No-Baffle
TUNAIR™ No-Baffle Polypropylene Shake Flask System – 2.5 L Autoclavable
The TUNAIR™ No-Baffle Shake Flask System is a patented polypropylene flask and cap system specifically designed for microbiology and biotechnology applications. Engineered with a no-baffle interior, this flask mimics the throw and mixing characteristics of a standard Erlenmeyer flask, offering a working volume of 1 liter and a total capacity of 2.5 liters. This design is ideal for microbial cultivation and fermentation studies where smooth orbital shaking is preferred.
Each TUNAIR™ system includes four 2.5 L No-Baffle polypropylene flasks, four two-piece polypropylene cap assemblies, and five dri-gauze filter linings. The two-piece cap assemblies are crafted from high-grade polypropylene, providing excellent chemical resistance to most common laboratory solvents. Both the flasks and cap components are fully autoclavable, ensuring sterility and long-term reusability. Filter linings may also be autoclaved or easily replaced as needed.
Durable, Reusable Flask System for Controlled Aeration and Sterile Cultures
Built to meet the rigorous demands of life science laboratories, the TUNAIR™ flask system supports precise aeration and reproducible shaking performance. The no-baffle design reduces shear stress while allowing oxygen transfer, making it ideal for sensitive microbial strains and controlled culture environments. The reusable, solvent-resistant polypropylene construction reduces lab waste and long-term consumable costs, making this system both eco-conscious and cost-effective for high-throughput workflows.
To replace the filter lining in the cap assembly, pinch the flanges of the inner-closure shell until they release. Separate the two cap components, remove the used lining, and insert a new one. Reassemble by placing the lining between the two cap parts and snapping them together. Ensure the flanges from the inner piece lock into the grooves of the outer shell to maintain a secure fit during operation.
Cleaning is straightforward. Flasks and caps should be soaked in a mild detergent solution to loosen dirt and contaminants, then rinsed thoroughly and air dried. This cleaning process supports consistent performance and prolongs the product’s life in regulated lab environments.
The TUNAIR™ No-Baffle Polypropylene Flask System is a trusted solution for high-performance cell culture, microbial growth, and scale-up processes in biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic research laboratories. Its rugged, autoclavable design, combined with ease of use and solvent resistance, makes it an essential tool for life science professionals seeking reliable and reusable labware.
